Attention Hauro!!!
While at Green Lake last month for the Missions conference I took time to really explore the Chapel Car, GRACE which has been on display there since the mid 1950's. She was decommissioned in 1946. One of these days I will post the several pictures I took of GRACE
But to day I came across a story about one of the other 6 ABC Chapel Cars on the Website of the Pine City, NY Baptist church.
And they have a song that was written the day that Chap car Evangel, was dedicated in the late 1800's in Cincinnat
On the spur of the moment Dr. Alex Blackburn wrote and sang this song for the dedication. And I am wondering if Hauro has seen it in his collection?
Roll on, thou bright Evangel,
Be thine the glorious aim,
To spread abroad the story,
The joyful news proclaim.
Tell of our Lord's great mercy,
Tell how he longs to bring
The lost from sin's dark thralldom,
To own him Lord and King.
Seek out the lost and erring;
Seek with an earnest hand,
Guiding unto the glory
Of our Immanuel's Land.,
And thou, O Great Jehovah,
Our own true Leader be,
Thou who has led and leadest
To all eternity.
I only have the words
