My church (The First Baptist Church of the City of Washington, D.C.) is 204 years old and predates the ABC/SBC split. Owing to its location in the nation's capital, it has always been aligned with both national bodies (although our SBC relationship is tenuous at best now -- I think we have two little old ladies who still send $$ to Lottie Moon, and that's it).
We also have been aligned with the Alliance (their offices are in our building and Stan Hastey is a member of FBCDC) and CBF since their beginnings.
And, via our affiliation with the District of Columbia Baptist Convention, we are also connected to the Progressive National Baptist Convention, the denomination founded by Martin Luther King, Jr., and a lot of other Arfrican-American Baptists who supported the Civil Rights Movement.
So, we're -- what -- quintuply aligned?
