The new, open-ended Travel Ban imposed by Trumpian fiat takes effect in three days. It will (among other things) make it impossible for American citizens who arrived in the United States as refugees from Burma―a large percentage of whom are Baptists―to invite their immediate family members to join them here. This is a fundamentally racist act, putatively aimed at keeping Muslim jihadists out (i.e. Muslims who are not members of the Saudi royal family). Please read about this evil and discriminatory action on the part of the United States government's Executive Branch.

This is an issue which doesn't get as much attention as it should. Ignorance combined with selfishness is the definition of cruelty.

I had read it, but it's just one more example of a poorly planned action that does not consider the people who may be affected by the policy. It's just one more offense lost in the daily list of offenses against humanity.

I think what Dave said above is so true. The offenses of this administration are so frequent, so heinous, and so constant that this travel ban is getting lost in the noise. I sometimes wonder if Trump does things like pardoning thieves and embezzlers to take the spotlight off of even worse actions. He plays the news cycle to his benefit.
