Last night I couldn't get to sleep so I decided to watch documentary films. (That usually can put any insomniac in "la-la land.) I caught Michael Moore's Bowling for Columbine. While some of his political rhetoric was dated and some was certainly partisan, something about his reflection on American society as living by a culture of fear resonates with me. It seems on the National Day of Prayer we should be praying and working to reduce the paranoia that keeps us fixated on being a violent society. Has anyone else seen this 2002 piece? How do we deal with a culture of fear?
