Christmas Traditions -Pepermint PIG

Have any of you heard of this one. I had heard of it before coming to NY but I am not sure where or when.

Residents of Saratoga NY about 12 miles up (North) State Rt 50 from Burnt Hills claims it originated there, Although the shop in this story is in Half Moon which is about the same distance S.W. of us.
